What Does “No Excuses in 2027” Actually Ask of Richmond?
The full RTSSG member feature, “No Excuses in 2027.” The Tiger Army Has Quietly Put a Deadline on This Rebuild., is available to members here.
Richmond supporters did not finish 2026 with one agreed verdict on the rebuild. Some remain patient. Some are deeply frustrated. Some want to see what better health and another preseason produce.
Yet the full RTSSG feature noticed a different point of convergence: more supporters are beginning to ask when the evidence must change.
What does 'no excuses' actually mean in football, where injuries, young players and difficult circumstances will always exist? Which explanations would remain legitimate next year, and which would begin sounding like the same uncertainty being carried forward again?
Does Richmond need wins alone to prove movement? Or should supporters be looking for clearer team football, stronger roles, longer competitive stretches and problems that become smaller rather than merely differently explained?
What would Richmond have to show for supporters to know their patience is still purchasing something real?
