Richmond’s young forwards spent much of 2026 working with poor supply, but that cannot make every part of their development impossible to judge. Jonty Faull, Harry Armstrong, Seth Campbell and the next group still have to become harder to defend when the entry is late, pressured or imperfect.

Luke Breust’s development role sits inside that problem without being the same job as Chris Newman’s forward-line system.
