When Does Belief in Richmond’s Kids Become a Demand for Proof?

When Richmond’s 2026 season ended, supporter confidence in several parts of the rebuild had clearly been tested. Yet belief in the young players remained visible across the reactions RTSSG examined.
The interesting change was not that supporters had stopped believing. It was that belief increasingly arrived with conditions: time, health, strength, experienced help, coaching, recruiting and visible forward movement.
When does healthy patience become a demand for evidence? What does a supporter need to see before “the kids will be good” becomes something more substantial than hope? Is games played enough? Is improvement in isolated moments enough? Or does belief eventually require young players to begin changing what Richmond can actually do as a team?
Which signs would show development rather than exposure? Who needs greater responsibility? What happens if improvement is real individually but the team around them still looks disconnected? And how long can optimism remain detached from clearer proof?
The member investigation follows that shift in supporter language without assuming that faith has disappeared — or that faith alone should settle the argument.
