Two Brownlow Medals should make a Richmond footballer almost impossible to overlook. Roy Wright won them in 1952 and 1954, placing him in a tiny part of the club’s individual-award history.
Yet Richmond memory is crowded with premiership dynasties, larger personalities and eras captured far more vividly on film. Wright’s peak arrived in a period when the Tigers were no longer the wartime power and had not yet become the Hafey machine.
