Tom Sims was drafted as a 199-centimetre power forward with enough ruck capability to make the package more valuable. His first AFL season showed flashes of both. Then injury removed almost all of 2026.
That lost year matters because Richmond's tall-forward landscape moved while Sims was rehabilitating. Lefau established himself. Lynch stayed. Armstrong and Faull remain major investments. The ruck succession question is still open.
